The lodge opened in July 1999 and has since then established a good reputation as lodge accommodation in Victoria Falls by providing a cost effective alternative to 3 & 4 Star hotels and lodges with a personalised service (where a guest is not a number).

The lodge is a trusted B&B and booked by travel agents and their ground operators in Southern Africa, Europe (mainly Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria & Netherlands) and Australia/New Zealand. Arrivals from the UK market are increasing since the end of 2009. Clients from the USA, Canada and South America are mainly via direct bookings.

As of 2016 the lodge has about 350 suppliers of various sizes as an agent base on file which is included in the sale.
